Early Years
In their reception year the children enjoy learning through play within a well planned and enabling environment, both indoors and out. Every child is unique and their individual interests are recognised, supported and extended. In this safe and secure environment, the foundations are laid for successful education – confidence, positive self-esteem, independence and social learning skills. They explore, enjoy and learn the basic skills required for reading, writing and mathematics.
In our Early Years, we have 2 classes:
Hedgehogs - Mrs Karen Hornby (EY Leader and Class Teacher) and Mrs Ruth Parsons (Class Teacher)
Squirrels - Mrs K Harrison (Class Teacher)
In addition, the staff who also support them are:
Mrs Sarah Skeel, Mrs E Finn and Miss L Ellis.
